WAH WAH!

So I am currently tearing up because a shirt has been stolen out of my closet.  OK this might just be the worst day ever.  I don’t even want to go into the extensive amount or frustration is at hand here but I am getting tired of juggling.  At least my room is clean, right?

I don’t have time for anything I want to do because I am doing everything I have to do.  It is just frustrating and aggravating all the same.  Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.  On Saturday you better believe I will be serving myself a huge Jack and Coke!  BRING IT ON!

I will take a fail for today.  WAH WAH.

Some kind of wonderful!

Saturday shaped up to be a great day…after cheer I met up with the C/Katherine’s and we had a grand time.  We ate, laughed, and ran around senseless.  It was so much fun.

So I went to Walmart…got hit on…and texted poor Nomad!  It made me chuckle a bit.  I sent him the response “If you weren’t in the picture I so would have thought about it ;)”  Then it didn’t hit me until he made a comment…”I couldn’t find anyone better than you, but you may find someone better than me.”  I couldn’t believe how sweet that was!!  EXCEPT, I had to correct him and remind him that was not true at all.  “I won’t find anyone better than you love”  (yeah go a head and say it….AAWWWWWWW!)  Am I making you sick with any of the talk of Nomad, yet?

I have come to realize that you are only as strong as your support surrounding you.  Where you may or may not have people physically there for you, you have plenty there spiritually there.  Only thing is, you cannot see them!  Interesting thought, huh?  You are never actually alone.  Your support group is unending.  Don’t forget those who are there for you both seen and unseen.

You’re fired!!

Standard

So last night our little “t.v. logger”  (no not the one that goes and cuts down trees for a living) stood us up.  Let’s call him, Bronzy.  It was pretty bad when you get stood up by a co-worker.  He tells us “oh yeah I will go out with you guys and it will be TONS of fun…just text me” (sense the heaaaaavvy sarcasm there…)  Well we texted him and that was the end of it.  Well…no I take that back…we tried texting, calling, etc.  It was as though he was avoiding us like the plague.  Later in the night we had our boss text him and yeah the key phrase was “You’re fired…”  It was pretty comical.  We all felt like American Bad-asses.

Now I must explain our evening.  It was 5 girls, one frozen pizza and pop-tarts, drinks and going to the bars that made this sight so much fun.  Pre-bar was a short walk in the cold to meet up with some friends, at the bar was where the fun truly began.  From dance floor parties, camouflage women wearing jumpsuits making them look unisex–yup definitely smacked the hind end and found out “he” was a “she” OPPS!, laughing at the stupidity of others–like the girl dancing on the table for no apparent reason!, shooting shotty glances from across the room at the jerks talking about us–just because we don’t fit your snotty mold don’t judge!, stripping in the bathroom–I was hot because I had gone dancing in like 3 layers! and finding “nuggets”…..the list of little things is pretty much endless.   Then I stumbled upon a sign in the bathroom while I was taking off my under armor.  I have provided the pic below:

It reads, "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it!" 🙂

I realized something….I don’t like going into bars that much because of several reasons.  People are dumb.  When I mean dumb, I must tell you I literally mean they go more stupid than they were to begin with!   People try to hit on married men, dance on tables, hit on girls that are clearly not falling for the “You look familiar…Do you live around here?” line…(they are the reason why Aspen can be tricky).  Seriously?

Well I met a lot of great people out and that made all of the silliness worth our while!  🙂  I promise you this!   LOTS of laughter and great company.

We HAD to take a picture with the bear hat! Don't you even begin to judge me!

We made it home at a decent hour, then like girls do, we talk until 3am!  Call time of 7:30am!  Needless to say our old bones were dragging!  Well that is all the update I have for you now.  Happy Saturday!

Day…..4.

Standard

Not to complain…but TODAY marks day 4 with no clear voice.  I never thought the irony would exist!  The person that talks the most has no voice!  Oh the agony….ha not really just no voice.  I feel great.

I went to a seminar on Saturday that was utterly so uplifting to my soul and spirit.  I learned a lot about myself in regards to a deeper sense.  Ever just have one of those moments where you just know that you’re supposed to be there?  That was definitely one of those!

I met a lady named J.J.  It was a lovely conversation, lovely material and really got me thinking.  After it, the light bulb went off!  I forgot to let the dog out!  Oh man, this was not good.  As I remembered halfway thru the seminar, it was all I could focus on!  Ahh was the dog going to relieve himself on my new rug?  Or would he wait?  I was terrified!  It’s not like I can call the dog to see what he is doing or HOW he was doing…sigh.  My heart rate started rising, sweat started to form on my top lip, and I was breathing quite heavy….what was I going to do?

Well, I realized at this point that there was only about an hour left so I tried to just pay attention to the speaker.  5 min later….this was my internal dialogue…..”Oh gosh, it will take me 25 minutes to get home and if I leave in the next half hour then that will leave me enough time to be there to let him out.  But what do I do if he lets lose on my new carpet…ugh..I don’t like cleaning!  Lordy, well maybe I could duck out early…but if I do, how soon is too soon without being rude?  Oh I just don’t know what to do…”  Well finally I just stopped abruptly stood up (I don’t even want to fathom what the speaker thought) and just walked out.  At this point I was a one track mind with a mission of saving my carpet from urine!

I scurried out the door looking like a mad woman.  Ran to my car, mind you it’s icy out and I was at risk of falling.  I skidded across the ice and fell flat on my butt.  Thank goodness I have padding, so I bounced back up and was soon on my way.  Thru the streets, around the corner I flew.  I wrote a song to explain the rest!

(Sung to the tune of “Jingle bells”)  http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/elf/jinglebells.htm

Maestro please!

Driving on the streets, in a Bug so nice and sweet, Oh speeding thru the lights, crying all the way (bah, ha, ha!).

Beeps and honks blare loud, as I run 3 red lights, oh this really isn’t fun, trying to beat the pee!

OHHH….I forgot, I forgot, I forgot the dog!  Oh what  a stress, if he messed my carpets up tonight, OHHH….I forgot, I forgot, I forgot the dog!  Oh what a stress, and a mess if that dog goes in the house!

Sirens from behind, sliding on the ice, almost home for sure, and still nothing to suffice!  Finally pulling in, all hell behind me, and  as I bust thru the door I see that pub all sad and I….

OHHH…I forgot, I forgot, I forgot the dog!  Oh what a stress, if he messed my carpets up tonight, OHHH….I forgot, I forgot, I forgot the dog!  Oh what a stress, and a mess if that dog goes in the house!

So I walked in the door, just in the nick of time, as that little pub dashed out, to mark it on the line!  He looked with a big sigh, as he finished up his thing, he turned around and ran inside because it’s very cold…

OHHH…I forgot, I forgot, I forgot the dog!  Oh what a stress, if he messed my carpets up tonight, OHHH….I forgot, I forgot, I forgot the dog!  Oh what a stress, and a mess if that dog goes in the house!

All in all, things were taken care of and the dog didn’t relieve himself on my rug.  🙂  So LG, life’s good!

Last night, she said….

Standard

Friday was a girls night. Fun and much needed.  We had a dance party in the bar…this celebration continued thru the weekend…etc.

Saturday’s a rugby day!  NOT.  I wish…that would have been cool…But, I had a delightful day of football instead.  🙂   I went to one of the biggest games from my Alma Mater, Indiana University, which is called The Old Oaken Bucket Game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Oaken_Bucket.  ACTUALLY, I cannot just simply say that I had a fantastic “-day” because literally since Thursday I have really been enjoying myself.  This weekend was full of mischief, old friends, and lots of laughter!

Well back to Saturday, the game was a good game…even better company!  We totally had a blast.  I got back around 7pm and then met a few other friends out and about.  This is where more humor happened to find me.  I was very early so I was the first of my friends to arrive at this dive bar across town.  I went in scoped out the table situation and realized there was not an open seat in the house.  Then, I made friends with a table of guys that were sitting at a booth where I was standing.  5 minutes later  Mr. T shows up so, I just said my good byes to the kind gentleman and went from there.  He then handed me a card for a “Chip ‘n Dales” event!  AHHH THIS MAN WAS A STRIPPER!  I took the cards and scurried back to my friends.  Then later into the night, a friend of a friend was introduced.  Guess what?  He was a stripper too!!?!??!  Two in one night!  How lucky could a girl be???  UH NOT!

Also some other funny things happened…I got thrown over a guy’s shoulder and spun around, I had to climb over a booth table and ended up being “eye” level with everyone…I also ended up meeting a guy that had EVERY single opposite team liking as I did.  THAT was interesting.  From rival high schools to NFL, MLB teams….etc.  It was crazy funny.  I must say we were pretty cordial.  I found a bunch of Sweet and Low and sugar packets in my purse, walked into the Men’s Restroom, and then almost got asked out by this huge black man.  Literally, this could ONLY happen to a CatMan.  No….for real though!  It was such a great random, fun night.

OPA! Just felt like saying that for some reason...

Sunday, went to church with the family then to breakfast.  We continued to laugh our way thru it.  My brother as cruel as this sounds announced at the table that he had gone hunting the day before and shot a duck in the wing.  Unfortunately, he had to wring the duck’s neck (that’s the cruel sad part) but that they had some delightful duck meat to share.  We are hunter’s and gatherer’s over here!  Either way, it was funny how he told us.  Then the Colt’s lost….that was an incredibly horrible game….sigh.

Monday is a Monday.  Today I am listening to “The Muse” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsp3_a-PMTw and working on a bunch of hodge podge items.  I feel like I am being torn in several different directions…although I cannot say I am overwhelmed.  This is good.  My aunt is in from out of town so I think that we are going to go for lunch tomorrow.  What an excellent part of my week!

My last thought for you all today is this, if you appreciate your family and friends, please tell them often.  You never know what kind of day they are having or if they will be around to see tomorrow.  🙂

Keep smiling, keep loving and keep sharing ideas with the world my loves!
